The physicist Dr. h.c. Karl-Heinz Steigerwald built the world's first electron beam processing machine in 1952 and founded the company in 1963. Steigerwald Strahltechnik GmbH.
Since then, over 500 electron beam machines (EB = electron beam) for welding and drilling have been delivered worldwide. The size of the machines depends on the customer's task and ranges from chambers with a volume of a few liters to large chambers.
Supported since October 2019 Vision project the company Steigerwald in electrical planning with EPLAN Electric P8. The cooperation at the Maisach site includes the following tasks:
- Development & optimization of basic projects
- Macro projects for functions and individual parts, as well as the Automatic creation of macros
- Optimize the EPLAN P8 Article database
- Extend function templates of the article data records
- Support for the electrical design team with helpful & practical Tips for EPLAN P8
