5 days intensive course - 35h lessons

Day 1

Basics & user interface

The first day provides the foundation for your work with EPLAN Electric P8 V2.9. You will get to know the user interface, understand the project structure and learn efficient navigation techniques. We teach the most important IEC standards and reference designations as well as the basics of project structuring. The trainer will specifically address the requirements and special features of your company and show you how to optimally integrate the EPLAN Data Portal into your processes.

Day 2

Circuit diagram creation & symbols

On the second day, we dive deep into circuit diagram creation. You will create complete circuit diagrams, learn how to insert and place equipment and define connections and potentials. Special focus is placed on creating and editing symbols and organizing your symbol library. Using practical exercises with direct feedback from the trainer, you will consolidate what you have learned and apply it to your typical use cases.

Day 3

Terminals, cables & PLC

The third day is dedicated to connection elements and control technology. You will learn about professional terminal planning, from the definition of different terminal types to the automatic generation of precise terminal evaluations. In the area of cables and wires, we will develop structured presentation and documentation concepts. The course concludes with the integration of PLC controllers with superstructures, assignment diagrams and inputs/outputs. The trainer will focus specifically on the components used in your company.

Day 4

Evaluations & quality assurance

On the fourth day, we focus on automated evaluations and quality assurance. You will learn how to create parts lists, terminal and cable evaluations and connection evaluations. In the area of quality assurance, we practise systematic troubleshooting with the message window, test runs and the targeted correction of identified problems. The trainer demonstrates proven test processes and helps you to adapt them to your company specifications and documentation standards.

Day 5

Documentation & practical project

The last day combines everything you have learned in a comprehensive practical project. You will learn advanced techniques for documentation and output, including print and plot management. The main part of the day is dedicated to a complete project from conception to finished documentation. All the functions you have learned will be applied and placed in the context of your daily work. Finally, the trainer will provide tips for further consolidation and answer open questions about your specific use cases.
